Pink Vintage Tags

Hi everyone! Melissa here with two tags for Gina's Designs. I found this size project fun to do. The tags made a great base for the layers of things I put under it, and top too. I added some pieces to hang off the bottom. I'll be putting this on a wall in my scraproom.     

I painted all the chipboard with gesso. I mixed perfect pearls with a tiny amount of water, and brushed it on the tags.

I applied glossy accents to the other chipboard that's white.

The wood medallions have a coat of gold lumieres on them.

I put fresh flowers, both from my yard and from a bouquet of pink roses, and baby's breath  under memory glass.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes Art Journal Page by Kim

Good morning friends! Today I would like to share with you my art journal page.   I am a beginner at art journaling but I am really enjoying learning all about it. Gina has some great pieces for art journaling and I took my inspiration from the beautiful scribble frame - fairy piece.

I used a mixture of gelatos, sprays, distress inks and stencils for the background. I faded the colours from darkest at the top to lightest at the bottom.  I decided to keep the chipboard pieces in black to give the illusion of a silhouette at night.

I stamped out some images of mushrooms and leaves and used various paints and watercolours to achive the look I got with them. 

I added some silver glitter paint from 13 Arts to the web and the wings of the fairy for some contrast and to give them a glistening effect.  The leaves on the scribble frame I dabbed with some green paint for the same type of effect.

 
I added some words to create my sentiment and I am really happy with the outcome.

Two Vintage Cards

Hi everyone! Melissa here with two cards.  I think the beautiful chipboard I used here complemented the the vintage theme, and I love the way it looks. The shape of the daisy is so intricate! I prepped all the chipboard with gesso. I painted the leaves on the left side card with watered down green acrylic paint. I dabbed off a little with a paper towel.  I put texture paste on the daisy, and made lines in it with a straight pin. I painted on a combination of Twinkling H20s and Lindy's Stamp Gang. While wet, I put on some pink, then white Perfect Pearls. I mixed yellow and green watercolors to make the center of the daisy. I painted the flourish on the right side card with a mix of red and white acrylic paint.  When dry I put on a layer of glitter glue, and sprinkled on glitter glass.
