Hi everyone! Amylove here!! To say that I am enjoying art journaling would be an understatement! I absolutely love it. For this piece I used a scrap piece of paper and some chipboard pieces that I used as stencils before. I was really feeling the bright colors!!

How to Use Chipboard as Stencils

Hi everyone! Amylove here sharing my latest passion, art journaling!!! What I love most about it is there are no rules, you do what makes you happy! I used some of Gina's chipboard as stencils on this one. I love to do that because then I still have the awesome pieces to use again!!

A Creative Life - Art Journal Page

Hi, Lynne here! I had a blast putting this lively page together. Gina's Mixed Media Fragments were such a great help!

I belong to an art journaling group that meets once a month, and June's word prompt was "create" or any variation on the word. I love this quote and to me it sums up  paper crafting...there is no wrong because there are no rules and no mistakes! I painted the fragments with acrylic paint then stenciled onto them with my beloved homemade texture paste.

Journal pages ideally should remain fairly flat, but I always find room for a few goodies and a bit of dimension! (no rules, remember!) I did some misting, paint spattering and brushing, stamping, stenciling, printing, gluing, sticker-sticking (and the white strips are drywall tape) There was not much that I didn't try on here. Remember next time you create, there is no wrong in paper crafting - just have fun and make art!!

Mixed Media "Believe" Tag by Kim C.

Welcome to this weeks project!

This is a 4 1/2 x 7 1/2 chipboard tag that I created.  I took a piece of the paper, ripped it, and then added distress ink to the edges to make it stand out.  The Mixed Media Fragments Set 2 was cut in half and placed on the edge of the tag at the top and the bottom.  I inked it with black distress ink, then used a dry brush and added gesso to make it stand out.

A clock stencil and modeling paste was used to give the tag some texture.  I then used my walnut ink spray for more dimension.  A resin oval frame was added to the top of some cheesecloth.  I added  flowers from my stash along with a gessoed clock charm.

I took one of the words from 10 Words Shape Set and gessoed it. An application of black distress ink along the edges completed the look.

Hi, thanks for joining me today I am sharing a project I created for Spring, this is a re-purposed canvas. It started out as one creation, of which I was not happy with, but  this is the final creation.

Spring, the blue bird, & the water can where all colored then covered with colored glitter.

I had a great time creating this canvas, this canvas started out as a different project, first I used white gesso over the entire canvas, then using a heavy gel medium & the mixed media fragments 2, using the chipboard fragments as masks as both the positive & negative to create different elements on the canvas. After the elements dried I used different colors of color wash, from butterscotch, moss, blue, & red.
