Cards by Shanna and a home decor project by Marfa

Hi everyone, today we have two really gorgeous cards to share, and a bright and cheery wreath that's sure to brighten your day.  First up is Shanna.

Shanna here with two cards to share. I thought the Arched Window would be a great piece for this card. I colored the chipboard using some Prima Chalks and then gave it a coat of glossy accents. 

Here you can see the Fern Fronds with a pastel Prima Chalk.

For my second card I couldn't resist using the Cartographer collection with this fabulous Net Style Hot Air Balloon. 

I first coated it gesso, then more Prima chalks, followed by Gold Foil Prima Bloom Spray.  I heat set that,  then I used Lindy's Sandra Dee Flat Fabio spray to darken it up.

Happy Saturday pretty and creative people!  This is Crafting Marfa.  This morning I want to show you my new summer wreath!  I used an old Styrofoam wreath that used to be a Spring wreath but was sort of falling apart.  I covered the wreath with Creative Twist ribbon in beige. Then I sprayed it with ink in green, brown and yellow.  The finishing touch was to cover it with two different fabric ribbons and flowers.  The focal piece is a birdhouse wall hanging from Gina's Designs.  I covered the birdhouse pieces with scrapbook paper and added more of Gina's Designs Flourishes and a butterfly.  

It is a very cheerful, summery wreath and I love it!

Celestial Stage by Nancy and Banner by Veronica

Today we have two projects to share.  First up is Nancy with one of our fun altered art pieces.  This piece can be decorated to suit any number of themes.

Hi everyone, Nancy here!  I had so much fun decorating this Stage.  I love anything to do with the sky, stars, moon and all things celestial, so I thought I'd call my creation "Reach For The Stars".  I added lots of textures to this piece with chunky glitter, glass beads, bead gel, shabby embossing powders, mica, gilder's paste, etc.

Spring Fairies Bird House by Veronica and an ATC tray by Deann

First up today is Veronica with a sparkly and glittered altered birdhouse.

Hello again, Veronica here! Today I am sharing an altered birdhouse featuring fairies from Gina's Designs, butterflies from CraftSupplies1, and a new product called Vintage Sparkle Glitter from the scrapbooking store where I work.  I created it as a sample for the store to show the glitter, and first thing that came to my mind was the Garden Fairies from Gina's Designs! 

I mean what a better combination? Fairies and Glitter!

I was also able to easily use these beautiful butterflies from Craftsupplies1

Gina's Designs really made the project! Her Garden Fairies are a must to have for any garden mystical project.

On top of my magical fairy bird house, I added Dragon Flies  from Gina's Designs, and I love the Vintage Sparkle all over the Dragon Fly.

Here's the back of the Fairy Bird House. I just love how the Garden Fairies Wings from Gina's Designs, just sparkle with glitter! You can also see the Flourish used to decorate the back of the house.

Hi everyone Monica here and today I am sharing a layout.  Me and layouts don't seem to get along sometimes but I really loved how this one came out with all the Gina's Designs flourishes.  She sells many different styles and what I love is that they come in a variety of sizes so you can piece them together to give a different look.

I used Flourishes 1 and  Flourishes 2 for this layout 

The pieces are so easy to paint and stamp on I just love them

I also have another project to share with everyone.   It is a tag I made using the XL Large Decorative Tags from Gina's Designs.  I know it may seem early for Christmas but this is inspiration for the month to come right?!!

Altered Box with Mini Camera Display Tray by Dawn

Hello! Dawn Rene here with you today to share a project I made using one of Gina's Designs new mini display trays. I adhered the mini camera display tray to the top of an altered box. I used Graphic45's Steampunk Spells papers which are targeted for Halloween - but also have an industrial, grunge feel. I embellished the altered box with other Gina's Designs chipboard shapes! The chippies and mini display tray are colored with Viva Decor Inka Gold (Hemitate color) and Tim Holtz distressed paints.

Doggie's Dream Tray by Dawn Rene

Last week you saw the cat version and this week Dawn Rene is here to share her off the page creation with Gina's Designs photo tray called Doggie's Dream. They have other trays too - cats, gears, trains and more! I love decorating trays and shadow boxes.

We recently added a new member to our family, Cookie. She is a teacup Morkie. But the highlight of the tray are the beautiful doilies. They are cardstock which I painted with Tim Holtz distressed paints. The doilies are so intricate - they are beautiful. I took two doilies and crinkled them to make my version of a flower to add some dimension.

Birds of a Feather Layout by Nancy

It's Wednesday and it's Nancy blogging with you today!  This layout features my cat "Timothy" who loves bird-watching from the wire enclosure outside his window.  This is one of the many outdoor enclosures we had built for the enjoyment of our multi-cat family and to keep them safe from harms way.  I used tons of chipboard embellishments from Gina's Designs on this one, including many of our newer items in the store.

My inspiration for this layout in both design and color comes from the very talented Charlotte aka Suepup sketch 0513.

Altered Frame by Nancy

Nancy is up today with an altered frame that features a variety chipboard shapes.  This frame began as a particle board unfinished frame I purchased with a coupon from Michael's.  I crackle painted it and added the chippie embellishments.  The frame is being donated to an auction for a dear friend to help with some veterinary costs.  To bid on this frame please visit the facebook page here.  The frame measures 12 x  12 inches and holds a 5 x 7 photo, or a smaller photo with a mat.

Spring is Coming

April Showers brings May Flowers but in Florida at the moment it is cold - go figure!  Even though I love the cold weather because it beats the heat - nothing says fun more than summer and spring.  For my post today I created and Easter tag with some gorgeous spring colors from CI Paints and Gina's amazing doilies!

 The gorgeous doily is from Gina's Designs and the flourish off to the side as well.  I applied some molding paste to my Tattered Angels screen at the bottom of the tag. To me they almost look like eggs.. hmm maybe not?!

I used some Creative Memories flowers - originally these were flat but with some love and curling the sprung to life and brought the colors I used form CI Paints to live that much more - definitely another match made in heaven right!!  I even painted the dress on the stamped image.
