Altered Tin Featuring Robin's Nest Papers

Hi everyone! Amylove here sharing one of my favorite items to alter. I have been altering Altoid size tins for the last year and I truly enjoy them. I was excited to use these beautiful Robin's Nest papers and thought what an amazing contrast the black would be against these yellows.

Brush Caddy by Kim C.

I everyone and welcome to this weeks project!
I have altered this Brush Caddy!
This was so easy to put together and so fun to decorate.  So let's get started!
The picture above shows the front of the caddy.  I used Graphic 45 paper to cover it.  I added laces and trim from my stash.  I also added beautiful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I used several collections from Gina's store.  The top left corner I used a small dress form, a heart piece and a leaf flourish.  I painted them all with gesso and then I inked the heart with Victorian Velvet distress ink.  I then inked the leaf flourish with Forest Moss distress ink.  I then inked all the edges with Black Soot and then added some small open roses in pale pink.  The top right corner has a large trellis rose, a smaller black open rose and a cream hip rosebud.  I also added another leaf flourish.
On the front left bottom I added a frame and a butterfly that I painted and inked and then added the word "Inspire".  The bottom front right has a larger dress form that I painted, inked and added pattern paper to along with some flat back white pearls.  I then added several different flowers along with another leaf flourish.  I gessoed everything to soften it just a bit.
The photo above is the back of the caddy.  You can see where I added the Lace boarder strip to the bottom.  I inked this with Black Soot and used gesso to make it stand out.  The next two photos are closeups of the larger dress form.
The bottom photo you can see where I added the flat back pearls to the top and to the fringe on the dress form.

I hope you like what I have done!  Below is a list of what I used.

Vintage Parisian Layout By Donna

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing a vintage Parisian layout. When I saw this photo of the stockings it made me think of Gina's Parisian Shape set. So many cute items!
I used two of the corsets; one with black chalk ink, and left one natural. The darling woman in a hat silhouette is also covered in black chalk ink.

I used the boots from the Miniatures Shape Set - Ladies Choice, colored them black and then added then laces.

The round scalloped element pieces were created by our very own Gina! In the store you will find Punchelements 1 inch Scalloped to make you very own elements.
On the dress form,  I painted it with black chalk ink, and finished with a sheer gold mist.

Paris Themed Mini Album by Nancy and a Fall Themed Banner by Donna

Hi Crafty Friends!  Today we have two projects to share.  First up is Nancy with another August cross-promotional project featuring Gina's Designs with printable paper kits by Kitty's Scrap Post.

Hello Everyone!  Nancy here with another cross promotional project pairing Gina's Design's chipboard with digital papers from Kitty's Scrap Post.  This is my third project this month using the awesome papers in the Heartbreak kit.  Today I'm sharing a Paris themed mini album.  There are several more photos of this mini posted on my blog, and the link will be provided at the end of the post.

Above:  The cover was created using fussy cut images from the Heart Break digital paper kit and a Gina's Designs Texture Sheet in Diamond Pattern, deco corners, and the word "Love" from the 10 words set.

Above:  Background papers and images are from the digital paper kit.  Photo book tucked inside pocket featuring a chipboard cameo by Gina's Designs embossed in shabby aged silver.  The page on the right is a split page, with the top half featuring a flip up.

Above:  A flip-up page featuring sentiment,  corset and mirror by Gina's Designs.  Perfume bottle is fussy cut from the digital papers, and also background paper is from the collection.  All design elements are unattached in the photo mat area, so a photo can be slipped onto the mat.

Above:  Gina's Designs chair and dressform, the perfume bottle, image of lady and background paper are from the digital paper collection.   All design elements are unattached in the photo mat area, so a photo can be slipped onto the mat.

Feathery Flourishes surround the fabric flower.

Above:  The image opens up to display more gorgeous images from the collection.

Above:  More images from the collection and a chipboard Fleur de lis and Paris elements from Gina's Designs.

Above:  A flip page featuring papers from the collection (you can see the inside of this page and more on my blog) and Eiffel Tower by Gina's Designs.  On the adjoining page I have a side pocket featuring doilies from Gina's Designs in black, and also a silhouette lady has been script stamped.

More gorgeous images from the collection on this flip out page, and below is the final page, with tag removed to reveal a transparency with an image from the collection slipped inside which could be replaced with a photo.

This mini album was so much fun to create.  Lots more photos on my blog HERE.

A Sparkly Layout by Marfa

Happy Friday everybody, it's Marfa here with a sparkly layout to share.   This is a vintage photo of me on my 15th birthday.  I  am using the Parisian Shape Set and the Banner Border Strip from Gina's Designs.  I especially love the Parisian Shape Set.  It has a lot of lovely chipboard shapes and it was perfect for this layout.  I also used a reflective material to give the mirror a more realistic look.  That was a lot of fun.  I covered the chippies with glitter acrylic paint and with another acrylic paint that has a satin finish.  The awesome, glittery paper is by Robin's Nest.  This layout is me through and through.  Scroll down for a short video and have a great weekend!

Victorian Ladies Dressing Screen by Kim

Hello and happy Friday everyone! Today I would like to share with you my Victorian Ladies Dressing Screen, which I have created out of three of Gina's new Tag Set Super X size!  I just love these tags and am always looking for new ways to use them and design with them.  I started off with some white gesso on all three of the tags, then papered them using some Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Paper to resemble wall paper that might have been found in a ladies dressing room back in the day!
I went around all the tags with some laces and trims, and attached the screens to each other with some more trim which is on the back of the tags. In the center tag at the base you can see one of Gina's new Curly Cages.  I really love these, they are super cute. I fussy cut a sentiment out of the paper line and added some metal embellishments and a wood sentiment to this part of the tag.

Here you can see some of Gina's Dressforms.  I papered them using more of the paper line, then embossed the bases to make them look like metal and then added a lace bow and flower to finish them off.

I used lots of gorgeous embellishments on the screen after I papered it, including one of the Silhouette Ladies which I embossed her top half, and added more of the paper to her bottom half to resemble a skirt, then added a lace bow and flower to her hair. The Chair beside her is from the cafe table and chair set, which I embossed in a lovely blue color, and added a bit more of the paper to look like a seat cushion.

Here is the middle tag where I used one of Gina's Chandeliers from the Paris Shape Set.  I embossed it with a shabby pink color, and added a wooden cameo from my stash. You can also see I have used more of the paper to create butterflies and flowers using my punches.
I hope you have enjoyed taking a trip back in time today with my project! Thanks so much for taking a peek! Have a wonderful weekend!
