Love You Valentine Layout by Kim

Hello friends and Happy Valentines Day tomorrow! I wanted to show a rather non traditional Valentine project today, and the X0X0 Wall Hanging was the perfect base for it! I used some of the Enchanted Garden paper from Bo Bunny as my base, then used some sprays in matching colors, and some texture paste and script stamp. This completed the background and I was ready to embellish.

 

 The heart above is from the Build A Layout Love Birds Set which I embossed in a teal color and added some glitter for sparkle. The X and 0 from the wall hanging I also did the same treatment to just using a different color.

Below is the Love You Script, also from the Love Birds set. I used just some fine white embossing powder, as there was enough color going on, and I wanted the sentiment to stand out.

 The fairies are fussy-cut from the paperline and for their wings I used some butterfly stickers I was sent from a friend. They worked out perfectly.

 Finally, in the top corner of the layout, I used the Butterfly Corner, which is a new piece from Gina. I painted it with some Silks Acrylic Glazes in different colors to pick up on the color theme I was going for. I added some flowers to the corner and also used some Prima Resin Butterflies throughout the piece to finish it off.

I really enjoyed making this piece. It was a lot of fun to think outside the box and use some very non traditional colors and themes for Valentines Day.

Two Valentine Cards

Hi everyone! Melissa here for Gina's Designs.  I think these chipboard pieces fit so well with the Valentine theme.  On the hearts, swirls type, and the small piece of frame on the right side card I did the following:

1.Paint with white acrylic.

2. Paint hearts with pink Twinkling H20s and watercolors,mixed with Pearlex. 

3.Paint swirls with a mix of brown watercolor, and green acrylic paint.

4. Dry brush liquid gold leaf paint.

On the white hearts I put stickles over white acrylic paint.

Here are the steps to make the green leaves on the right: 

1. Prep with gesso.

2.Paint with green chalk ink.

3. While wet put on some green and brown watercolor.

4.Ink the edges with a green distress ink pad.

5. Apply a thick coat of crackle accent.

6. Brush on some purple Pearlex.

Hello Friends!!

Heather here and today I am sharing my second Guest Designer Project using 

Gina's Fabulous Chipboard Pieces!!

I have used Gina's Reliquary Tower Top,  Stackable Labels Shape Set, Dangles, and Scribble Frame Bird Piece.

I used my Tiny Hearts in Pink Digital Paper to cover the back piece of the Reliquary frame.  I used one of my Valentine Cherubs as my focal.  

I used White Gesso on all the other chipboard pieces.  I glued the top piece of the Reliquary to the bottom piece.  I painted this turquoise, golden yellow and green (please refer to photo).

After I painted this piece I stamped it with Forget-Me-Not Archival Ink.  The bird piece was painted brown, blue and pink.  I did add some Pink Mulberry flowers and green dot glitter leaves.

 The dangle was painted green, golden yellow, and pink. I used a number stamp and Carnation Red Archival Ink.

Coordinated glitters were added to the piece.

For the stackable label, I painted the base green and the top gesso with blue accents.   Of course I doodled on the whole piece with a black pen.

I just added a couple magnets to the back, so it can hang on our back door.

Brush Caddy

Good morning crafty people! I am determined to organize my craft room! So, I started with the brush caddy from Gina.

I painted the handle and inside with rust chalk paint. I added texture to the handle with the Texture Sheet- Diamonds. I used it as a stencil with texture paste.

For the caddy, I covered it with vintage book paper. I used distress ink on the edges and then covered the paper with clear wax from Folkart.

To decorate, I added pieces of the Diamond Texture Plate and in the corners I added  the Art Deco Corner Set.

On the Beach with Toby

Greetings from snowy Ontario! Lynne here with a summery layout featuring my wonderful pug mix Toby at our local park last summer.

I painted the title piece and the border strip with black acrylic paint (love the look of the black on the wood-grain paper!), then I glued some real sand onto both pieces, then dabbed them with blue pearlized acrylic paint which perfectly matched the color of Toby's collar.

 I had fun with the sand dollar and starfish pieces. I used white texture paste on the sand dollar to create a realistic look, and I used a mixture of acrylic paint , gesso and table salt to create the texture on the starfish.

ATC's

Welcome to a new day of inspiration. Shanna here to share some fun ATC's I created in cross promotion with RubberMoon Stamps.

Now for my ATC's - I had such a blast using the lasercut pieces Gina provided us to match up with stamps. 

For my chipboard pieces, I painted them with gesso and stamped all images with a StazOn Black ink.

For this ATC I used some acrylic paint to cover the sun.

For the Second ATC I used a gelato to cover the chipboard before stampings and then colored in spots of my stamping with a PITT pen and stickles.

The last ATC I colored parts of the birds with gelatos as well. 

So I hope you are inspired to add some chippie pieces to any creation of yours.
