Simple Pleasures Beach layout with Gina's Designs

Hello friends! Happy Labor Day weekend!
Welcome to Gina's Designs blog, Debbie with you today! With summer coming to an end and the snow will soon fly where I live,  I'd thought I'd share a fun beach layout with you all. I love beaches and my water sign draws me to them. I've always wanted to live on a beach and maybe someday my dream to do that will happen. Sometimes even living as far from a beach as I do you dream you are there and while I was designing this layout it felt like I was right there. This pier is in Belize.

I simply used acrylic paint for my chipboard pieces, inked them and rubbed them with Metallic rubs from DecoArt.

I gave the frame a Patina feel...it just felt like it fit.   Thanks for stopping by today!

Beach Memories

Hi, Kathi here to share with you my beach layout. This layout will hold two beach photo's. I combined Gina's laser chipboard and shells found at the beach in Hawaii. 

 

 Chainlink 8" x 8" panel with real seashells from Hawaii. Along the bottom is the  Beach College Border and a lobster from Beach Shape Set.

The chair and fence are from the Beach Shape Set. I love how the fence turned out!

On the Beach with Toby

Greetings from snowy Ontario! Lynne here with a summery layout featuring my wonderful pug mix Toby at our local park last summer.

I painted the title piece and the border strip with black acrylic paint (love the look of the black on the wood-grain paper!), then I glued some real sand onto both pieces, then dabbed them with blue pearlized acrylic paint which perfectly matched the color of Toby's collar.

 I had fun with the sand dollar and starfish pieces. I used white texture paste on the sand dollar to create a realistic look, and I used a mixture of acrylic paint , gesso and table salt to create the texture on the starfish.
