Mixed Media Canvas by Kim F

Good morning friends! Today I am sharing a fun mixed media canvas.
This is a 4 x 6 canvas I had in my stash and I love the white, blue and black theme.
I started of with a coat of white gesso on the canvas and then used my sprays in coordinating colours.  I then cut several squares with my 2 inch punch and layered them on top of the paint and sprays.
Next, I got out some stamps and did some stamping in the background. Once that was complete it was time to put on my chipboard pieces.  I layered on some fun pieces from other sets in Gina's store, that is what I love about her shape sets, they have pieces in them that you can use on various projects.
Below here you can see the stackable labels I painted and used my alpha stamp on and then used Gloss Accents over it. I love the high gloss on it.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Shabby Steampunk Tag by Kim

Happy Friday Friends! Today I would like to share with you my shabby steampunk tag. I used the Extra Large Tag from Gina's for my base. These tags are very cool and measure 8 inches high by 4 inches wide!   I started off by mod podging a lovely napkin with a vintage girl image on top, then layered some gorgeous laces and trims on the top and bottom from Craftsupplies1.

I cut up my Gears Borders and Corners set and layered them in her hair.  I embossed them in various colors of embossing powders, but keeping them in the vintage metal tones I wanted to achieve.  I then added some fun metal pieces like a hot air balloon on top of the gears, and some chipboard clock hands and a flower from Craftsupplies1.

Here you can see one of Gina's chipboard pocket watches which I covered with some Prima Chalk Inks and surrounded with a metal clock hand, cameo and more beautiful flowers from Craftsupplies1.

I also used some of the numbers from the Chunky Borders Set, cutting them up and placing them on the tag after embossing them and adding some copper Gilder's Paste.

I love the shabby and vintage feel of this tag, and the gears that surround this lovely little lady!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Home Decor - Key and Crest by Nancy

Hi Everyone, Nancy here!  Today I am sharing a vintage heritage project.  I thought these photos of my Dad and my Granddad, would be perfect to display on our new Key and Crest Wall hanging.  This is a good sized piece to work with, about 12 inches across.  I am really happy with how it turned out, and it's a keepsake since my Dad and Granddad are no longer with us.

I used several products to get the look I wanted for the key and crest, meaning the scrolled areas and the key.   The center area was papered with the DCWV Timeless Type Stack.    I began by using a fan shaped brush to achieve a light dry coat of gesso (at that point some raw chipboard still shows through).  Next I covered the whole piece with a bright turquoise luminescent type paint.  Following that I dry brushed a bit of bright orange here and there.   Next I embossed over everything with Tim Holtz vintage photo distress embossing powder.  Following that step I stamped over the whole piece with a burlap textured stamp,  and embossed those areas with copper colored embossing powder.  I then rubbed Gold colored Gilder's Paste all along the edges.  Thanks for looking!
