A Moment in Time Layout by Lisa

Hi Everyone! It's Lisa Novogrodski here with you today.  I have created a fun artsy layout featuring one of Gina's gorgeous word phrases. This one is "A Moment In Time"

I chose a white cardstock background and outlined the edges in a distress marker.

My background treatment includes misting and gelatos painted over a mask for a watercolor effect. After they dried I outlined the shapes with a distress marker.
Here is a closer look at the Word Phrase. I place it right over my photo! I love how that looks. I wanted to keep the look pretty simple and I wanted it to stand out so I just inked the whole chippee with Walnut Distress Ink.

The papers are from previous Scraps of Elegance kits and my background includes Inkadinkadoo stamps and Heartfelt Creations stamps.

Peacock Feathers Layout by Lisa

Hey Gina's Designs Fans! It's Lisa Novogrodski here with you today! I'm sharing a layout I created featuring the gorgeous Peacock Feathers Shape Set.
We are teaming up with The Robins Nest and I have used the Teal Giraffe Cardstock in my background. I cut the paper up and layered it with gesso.

I created this layout in a mixed media style with lots of layers, gesso, modeling paste, mists and stencils.

I used two different Lindys mists on the feathers and then went over it in Diamond Glaze for a glassy sheen.

I love the Peacock feathers! I wanted mine to blend into the this page but image the pop you could add to them if you wanted a bolder look!

Thanks for stopping by!

Star Mini Album by Lisa

Hey All! Happy July 1st to you!

It's Lisa Novogrodski here and today I have one of Gina's "Star Mini Albums" to share with you.
Grab yourself a beverage and relax. There are a lot of sweet fun pages to view on this one. (you might want a munchie too)

For the cover I used a coat of gesso as my base. Then I hit it with the heat tool (not really hit it but you know what I mean) and then applied some Magical Micas. I let it dry for a bit and while still tacky but not wet I brushed crackle over it. The crackle smeared the coloring a bit and allowed it to shade and some of the gesso to peek through.

To the little stars I added Lindys Mists and Shimmerz sprays.

I've also added some of Gina's Glassine bags to the pages of this album. I scored them in order to fold them then adhered. This leaves a little pocket to tuck things in and places to adhere photos or other small treasures.

Here is a little vintage 4th of July image I found. Sweet isn't it?

I thought it would be fun to create a little fold out page. I used a die cut from Bo Bunny, cut it in half and attached with a paper hinge.

I like to use die cuts as photo mats.

More glassine bags with little tags tucked in.
Fun star banner and beaded pin.

Whew!Thats a wrap!
Thanks for sticking with me and be sure to check out Gina's Designs Store!

Tags and Glassine Bags Oh My! by Lisa

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing some tags I created with the glassine bags from Gina's Designs.

I have been inspired by the fabulous Melissa Phillips (LOVE her work)  and saw some glassine bags she had embossed and thought I would add that feature to my bags. This tag would make a beautiful gift as well as hold one. You could fit a gift card, jewelry, treats etc. in that little pocket.
I used a floral stamp with embossing ink and silver powder. The embossing looks fabulous on the glassine.
I cut my own tag and made it large about 10 x 5 1/2.
The white flowers were ones I had on hand and I added some white die cut leaves from crepe paper. I love the delicate look the lend. These doilies are from Gina's as well.
This is a little close up of the embossing. So many possibilities with these bags!

This tag was created with the Pink Paislee papers. I LOVE the colors here.

On this glassine bag I used a gold embossing powder with the same flower stamp.
I have added buttons, charms, lace and florals to enhance my tag.

Have you checked out Gina's shop to see what new beauties she has added? Don't forget to take a peek.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be back soon with more projects to share.

Mini Album Display Case by Lisa

Hi Everyone! It's Lisa here today and I am sharing my mini album display case.
I had such a great time creating this project and I know you will too! This beautiful piece Gina designed houses four little mini albums.
I covered mine in Bo Bunny Mama Razzi Papers and inked all the edges. Gina's
Miniature Bookplates Shapes gave the binders of my mini albums a special touch. I dabbed Tim Holtz distress paints on the chipboard bookplates in two different colors.

I added a button for my drawer pull and covered wooden spools in matching paper for my feet.

The top of my case was covered in flowers and butterflies!
I used Gina's Hinge Straps on the sides of the box. I covered them in modeling paste and then went over them with gesso. While the gesso was set I sprinkled on distress embossing powder and heat set it.
This is the back of the display case with a sweet butterfly and some bling!
Here is a photo of one of the little minis! Isn't it too cute!

I hope you enjoyed my project and don't forget to stop by the shop and pick up one of these cases for yourself!

Video on treating chipboard with Lindy's and Crackle Mediums by Lisa

Lisa with you and today I am sharing a Butterfly Mini Album Cover And Tag

I created a butterfly mini album and I am sharing the cover and a tag from it today along with a tutorial on how to treat the chipboard with Lindy's and Crackle Mediums.

The cover of the album was treated with the technique shown in the video as was the butterfly on the tag!

The tag was stitched on the outside and stamped. I printed the words on my computer and after printing I cut each word and inked the edges.

Florals were added to the center of the album and the tag for an extra special touch!

You Make Me Smile: Layout by Lisa

Hi Everyone! It's Lisa here today and I am sharing a layout I created featuring Gina's cardstock doilies, words & phrases and birds & cages!!!  Oh gosh I love them all so much!

Gina's cardstock doilies add such a feminine touch to a page. These doilies work well on a layout or could be used in your altered art or a card.

I tucked the doily into my foliage and florals. The birdcage and word phrase were treated with a base of gesso. Then I misted both of them with several different bottles of Lindys Starburst mist. Lindys is my go to item for chipboard.

After misting the chipboard I go over the edges with ink and rub a little on the chipboard in different areas for shading. On these two pieces I used the Prima Ingvild Blom inks.

Take a peek at Gina's shop and grab some of these beautiful designs for one of your projects!
