Halloween Shadow Box

It's finally here! Halloween!!! I love working on Halloween projects and I had the best time creating this one. I used an old wooden shelf my daughter used to use to display her perfume on. I broke out a ton of chipboard for this one!

Once it was finished and I sat it down on the table, Jake laid right in front of it and spent some time checking it out. I think he likes it! The process video link is below! Click on over and see how I made this!

St. Patrick's Day Tag by Dianna

Hi Everyone, Happy St. Patrick's Day! Being part Irish, I just simply had to do something with Gina's Designs Chipboard and my Prima Media Doll Stamp.
I started with Gina's X-Large Tag and covered with Authentique "Lucky" Collection paper.  The Layered Border (Victoria) from Gina's Designs comes in two layers. I used gold Stickles on the bottom layer and Sparkling H20s on the top layer to give the chipboard more color.  The ivy under the Irish Blessing is Gina's Ivy Corners, which I spritzed with Fireworks Spray and Stickles.  I cut out the Irish Blessing, the shamrocks "Lucky", the large and small shamrock  from Authentique "Lucky" Collection.  I used two different Stickles on the shamrocks in caldron.  I painted Gina's caldron black then used green Stickles,  The phrase "May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow...." is cut from the top of the Authentique paper.
I used Julie Nutting's Media Doll and stamped doll dress twice using the Authentique paper.  I then layered the dress and cut the "folds" of the first layer of the dress to give the dress more fluff.  I created sleeves with the solid green paper and placed an extra clover in her arm.  The top hat was cut out of the Authentique paper.  I used Copic Markers on the hair, body and shoes.

Halloween Projects by Deann and a Layout by Lynne

Good morning, Deann here with a cute little witch photo or note holder.
I used the Be Witched Shape Set  and a clothespin.

I also made a matching gift bag.

I finished the set off with a really awesome Halloween card.
I used a Spiderweb from the Spiderweb Shape Set as the stop for the back of the card, this gives it an easel effect.
The photo is framed with a Flourished Frame-Evie (coming soon)
I took the photo at a Haunted Manor in Ohio

Hi! Lynne here with a layout I created using a photo of my daughter and her boyfriend on the boardwalk at Point Pelee Provincial park this past summer. I was glad to find the perfect page for the fabulous Cattails piece that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it!

I spread texture paste on the cattails and the butterfly to create added dimension, then painted them with silver acrylic paint.  I had a great time adding a combination of mists, gelatos and inks to get the colours I had in mind to echo those in the paper and the photo. I also added a couple of the intricate doilies to finish things off.  The detail on the doilies amazes me every time I look at them! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope I've inspired you get out your craft supplies and create something awesome!!

The Witching Hour - A Layout by Donna

I cannot believe it is October! Time for spooky, creepy, decorations and the unique, fun combination of colors, orange, black, and purple! I might have gone a little overboard with the colors, but it was fun! Gina's Designs has some great Halloween shapes!

This is a photo of me when I was in my 20s, obviously dressed up like a witch. I used to love to dress up with my kids!

The spiderweb shape set is one of my favorites! Yes, I know there should be a spider somewhere on the page...but I hate spiders...just like the webs!

Another of my favorite shapes are "frames". I have used the large Page Frame Flourished and also a smaller flourish oval frame for the photo. I like the way the page frames pull everything together.

I covered all of the chipboard pieces with gesso and used heat embossing powder on everything except for the photo frame. I painted the photo frame with black gesso and used chalk ink, Blood Mary, over it which gave it a hint of the purplish color and some shimmer.

Thank you for stopping by Gina's today and have a safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
