Mixed Media Wall Clock

Good morning buttercups!  This is Crafting Marfa today.  I am dying to show you one of my favorite projects so far.  This is a Mixed Media Wall Clock.  It is my first time making a clock and let me tell you, it won't be my last.  I used lots of products by Gina's Designs.  You can find a list at the bottom of this post.  I used modeling paste and a stencil to create a brick effect all over the clock.  Lumiere paint in several colors give it a beautiful shimmery color.   I created a female shape using glass beads, wire, flowers and a metal purse charm.  The box is made of the hardest chipboard that I've ever seen.  This thing feels like wood!  The dry modeling paste gives it a very protective coat all over as well.  This clock is up for sale in my Etsy shop.  Scroll down for a short video and a list of supplies.

Paris Shadow Box with Marjolaine

Hello friends, Marjolaine here. This week I've been playing with the Paris shadow box and I'm loving how it turned out.

The box is super easy to assemble, I used Zip dry to adhere the pieces together. I used some beautiful napkins and decoupaged them onto the box. I also smeared a bit of gesso on the surface to age the box. Some of the chipboard pieces are covered with Zing embossing powder and distressed with gesso, others are colored with a grey big brush marker.

This little bouquet of flowers is one of my favorite things about this box, I just love the little "vase" they're in. (the jar is sold separately)

Window Shadow box by Dawn

Hello Gina's Designs fans! Dawn with you today! I love decorating shadowboxes and painter trays. I think it is because of all the little spaces - each one can be its own little masterpiece. Gina's Designs has so many different sizes and shapes of shadowboxes and trays available. You can check them all out here!

I decided to design this window shadowbox around one of my favorite sayings "Bloom Where You Are Planted." All the chipboard shapes are also from Gina's Designs. They were painted with Tim Holtz' distressed paints.
