Gina's Designs and ColourArte Collaboration

Hello friends!  Debbie with you on a beautiful Sunday morning to share a layout using some fabulous products!  After all, what can be better than Gina's Laser Cuts and ColourArte products to make them look awesome!!  I'm sharing a layout today of my daughters wedding...they are such a gorgeous couple and deserve great product to highlight their special day!

To begin this project I started off with my background.  Starting with Gina's Designs Laser cuts, I gessoed all my pieces and then added coordinating colors with H2O's.

I created my background by adding texture paste to my patterned paper.
Next step was to pencil in the area that my center of my photo and the focus of my layout would be.
I highlighted the area with color around the area where the large circle would be placed. I used Twinkling H2o's and a paintbush.
To make my textured patterns stand out I embossed them in random areas with gold embossing powder.
Add the background matting and photo and embellish with your favorite embellishments. I added some lines with an ink pen to highlight the petals. The petals were all painted with Twinkling H2o's.

Thank you for stopping by Gina's blog today!  Hope you will give these simple techniques a try!!

Bee Happy Canvas

Greetings from chilly and snowy Ontario! Lynne here with a summery canvas to chase away the winter blues. I had a great time creating this with the fun bees and gorgeous new word art from Gina's (although I didn't have such a great time cleaning up the half bottle of yellow spray mist that I spilled all over my work table at one point-ugh!)
I used chipboard from several different packages. Most of them were simply painted with acrylic paint and then they picked up a bit of mist which integrated them to the colors of the canvas. The honeycombs were painted then rubbed with ink.The bees were painted black and yellow, then the wings were stamped with Versamark and heat-embossed. I added black stripes of flocking to the bodies. I also bent the wings a bit for dimension and realism.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by, and remember to bee happy, and bee creative!

Picket Fence Wall Decor

A big hi and hello to you all. Shanna here today to share a new creation I made with a WONDERFUL and EXCITING new piece in the store.
I decided to create a jewelry holder for some of my necklaces. BUT.... I ran out of knobs. I know! I know! It looks bare, right? I will be at Hobby Lobby this weekend getting more knobs because I do have more than two necklaces and bracelets!
So what I did to alter this lovely thick piece of creative awesomeness?
First I gave it a coat of gesso. Then I decided I wanted some pop so I painted it with some chalkboard paint in black!
Then I decided (because jewelry makes a lot of us ladies happy) to add the brand new Curly Word Happy, which was just covered in gesso. I love these and can't wait for more words and will be using a bunch more of these.
I also used a small Photo Reel. I cut it in half to use on another project and loved tucking it in my embellishments. This piece was also just painted with gesso!
