Altered Door Hanger "Art Heals" by Kim

Hello Everyone and happy Friday! Today I would like to share with you the new Door Hangers we have in Gina's Store.  These are made from very heavy duty chipboard, and are great for mixed media work, as they will hold up really well. I have created this Door Hanger for my Craft room, hence, the Art theme.

Below here you can see I have also used Gina's new Art Pallette for the focal point of the piece. I just love this little palette, it comes with 2 chipboard brushes and one pallette knife which you can also alter. I have chosen more mixed media supplies to alter mine, and it was a lot of fun. I then added some wooden letters to spell out ART and some of Gina's Dressform Wings which I embossed in black.

Here you can see a close up of the chipboard brushes and palette knife, to which I added my texture paste, sprays and paints. I then added a feminine touch with some flowers and vintage lace. I used the Hanging clock in the background and added another one of the Steampunk Wings to the side to finish it off.

I used more flowers, some metal corners and some laces from my stash to give it a complete look and now it will hang on my craft room door with pride.
I hope you like what I have created for you today!

Curio Cabinet by Bonnie

Hello everyone, today on the Blog we have our Guest Designer Bonnie to share with us her take on our Curio Cabinet.  This is a great storage item, and Bonnie has done it up
 beautifully!
Bonnie used the Kaisercraft paper, True Romance on the Curio Cabinet and it really tied in well with her amazing shabby vintage style. You can see on the doors of the cabinet she has used some of the  dressforms from the dressform with wings set as well.

Above here you can see inside the Curio Cabinet. There is lots of room inside this and you can see at the top of the doors some of our Cardstock Intricate Doilies peeking out!

On the side of the cabinet is another of our Dressforms, along with some gorgeous flowers, laces and trims. Bonnie has just done an amazing job!
If you would like to see more on this project, please go over and check out Bonnie's Youtube Channel.

Key Wall Art Balloon mounted on an altered frame by Nancy

Hi everyone, Nancy here!  Today I'm sharing my version of the Wall Art Key.  I chose the Hot Air Balloon style for my project.  I decided to mount my key on the edge of a 12 x 12 unfinished wooden photo frame that I purchased at Michael's.  I had so much fun decorating this.  I did a lot of stenciling, stamping and doodling all over the frame,  then I backed the key with paper before mounting it to the side.  I couldn't decide on the right photo to put inside the frame so I added our steampunk lady chipboard shape in the area where the photo goes.  It was supposed to be temporary, but now I like it so much that I might leave it just as is..

Fairy on a Wall Art Key Holder

Hi there,  it's Melissa here with a project using Gina's Designs Laser Chipboard. This is my version of the Key Wall Art that the Design Team are all creating this month.  I chose the heart shape design.  The key shape really got my imagination going.  I painted it with gesso, followed by lumieres. To give some texture I lightly embossed in white, then put more paint on. Thanks for looking!

Home Decor Projects with Deann and Veronica

Today we have some fun wall art, or home decor items on the blog.  The wall art keys come in three unique and fun styles.  Two different styles are being shared with you today.  Deann is also sharing the door plate which she has decorated to match her key.

Good morning :) Deann here with my latest DT project for Gina's Designs.
I LOVE the new Keys and the Door plate !!! I went with a different color combo than my usual for steam punk. I love the cream, gold and Burgundy combo.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Next up is Veronica with the heart shaped key.

Hello Everyone! Veronica here again.
Today I have this Beautiful Victorian Wall Art Heart Key to show you new from Gina's Designs.
I just love the Victorian Era! I used different pieces that I've collected over the years, to complete this project, and the flower embellishments were given to me as a gift. I love how different little things can make complete a finished look.

Here you can see Gina's Flourishes. These work so well for layouts and tags, and they helped add a vintage touch to this project.
I also added a letter "V" from a old Scrabble Board Game, another Vintage salvage yard sale find. It's funny how these are now so sought after.

"She" is beautiful.

Seaside Escape by Heidi

Hello, Heidi here!  Today's project is a little different don't you think?  The base of the project is a Gina's Designs Spool.  At first I was not sure what to do with it and then I went through all the chipboard scenes I had  and the beach is where I wish I was now- so here it is.
The spool was coated with modge podge and then I covered it with coarse sand.  Then I took all the little pieces and started painting them.  Lets see what there is here, first is the little adirondeck chair surrounded by shells and flowers.  Look at the little lobster!   In the background is the white weathered fence with the life saver hanging on it surrounded by some tall grass.  Atop the entire spool is a lighthouse ... beckoning you to come and join us on the beach!

Come join us for some sunshine and sand!

A Layout by Shanna and Wall Art by Marfa

Hi everyone!  Today we have two projects to share.  First up is Shanna with a super cute layout featuring several of our chipboard shapes.

Good morning everyone, Shanna here. I have a special layout that I made for Gina's Designs. More importantly I made it for my mom.

Of course having two grandbabies she had to share the love equally. I made a layout of my daughter for my mom for Mother's Day so it is only fair to equal it out and make her one of Avery.

I so love the Pink Paislee papers I used and the amazing chipboard pieces that really helped make this layout pop!

Next up is Marfa with one of our new wall art keys.  These keys come in several styles ready for you to alter, or as some of the team members have done, attach to another project.  Either way, these large sized keys are impressive.

Hello chickadees!  Today I want to show you a very unique project that I created for Gina's Designs.  It is a key!  This key opens the door to your imagination!  Only metaphorically speaking, of course...lol  I don't have a ruler right now, but this key seems to be about 10 inches in length, which is a great size for wall art.  I have the Hot Air Balloon Key, but Gina offers more designs that are really pretty.  I also used a few other pieces from Gina's Designs, but you can find all the links at the bottom of this post.

I used hot glue to put everything together.  There are layers and layers of Lumiere paint and a gold paint pen as well.   I added Liquid Pearls to the balloon for an extra shot of color.  Ever though this is wall art, I'm not going to put it on the wall.  This key is going next to a lamp in my living room.  My living room furniture, although not Steampunk, seems to go very well with this key.  It was easy to put together.  I got to play around with paint and get my finger dirty (always a plus!).  Now I have a very cool, unique ornament for my living room.  So I suggest that you check out the shop, get your own key and open the door to your imagination!
